So the last time I wrote a blot post was about 7 months ago.... *face palm* I'm sorry blog, I still love you I just totally forgot I had you!!! Where do I start? I only realised I had a blog this morning. I was just living typical Jasmine life, you know, breakfast, online shopping, instagram etc. I decided to catch up on some of my favourite blogs and then it came crashing down on me: I have a blog. Omg, I have a blog. A blog. My very own blog. Just for me.....my precious.......(cue evil cackle) I re-read my old only 5 posts and the thought, right, I'm gonna write another post right now (cause ya know I'm all about #YOLO ;) teeheehee)
I feel that after neglected this blog for so long, I feel overwhelmed to make this post the most amazing post ever. And then I freak out, and them I'm all like 'man, do I really wanna do this', and then I start having long philosophical conversations with my self. So, today I have decided just to do a nice typical post: a review on a recent favourite product of mine.
Let's go!
The Naked Palette
Yes, I know what you're probably thinking: 'oh please, girl we've been there, done that, everyone knows that this nudist palette or whatever is freaking awesome! So we do not need to read another rave about it'. I'm sorry, but since I want to keep to blog honest, I felt I had to mention it, because I've been literally using it so much right now, like everyday basically. So if you haven't already looked into this product or brought it, I would highly recommend you do.
The one thing I felt nervous about, and know that a lot of you will also have your concerns about, when purchasing the naked palette was the cost. Urban decay is quite pricey, and of course you're not guaranteed to like a product so its always a little risky splashing out on it, without trying it first. A good idea, is to find a 'drugstore dupe'. If you don't know what that is, it's a identical except less good quality copy of a high end product but for a much cheaper price, so for example in eyeshadow, you would be able to test out the colours before getting the real deal. However, if something like a naked palette is totally out of your price range, you could just buy a dupe instead, and often some are almost absolutely identical to the originals, for a fraction of the price.
For all 3 naked palettes I found wonderful dupes from the brand 'Makeup Revolution'. I've never heard of this brand before, but I think I will now become a fan. I found it whilst browsing on superdrug for a nice cheap eyeshadow palette with a lot of nice neutral colours to take on holiday with me, and alas, I bumped into the Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette 1, 2 and 3. My first thought was 'ooh these look nice!' with the low price of £4 and range of neutrals it was exactly what I wanted, but they so familiar, and then I realised, they were dupes of the Naked palette 1, 2 and 3. I started reading up on them online and all reviews pretty much shared the view that they were an excellent dupe, with each eyeshadow matching up to it's twin naked palette almost perfectly. I was immediately intrigued. I had been battling with myself for a while now on if I should treat myself to a naked palette, and at only £4, these seemed absolutely perfect.
And they were all great, they were entirely what they promised to be and one of my favourite all time dupes. However I did still choose to splash out on a naked a palette and I'm really glad I did! :)
